Last night the hubs and I took everyone out. All one billion of us, not really, but going out with seven people sometimes feels like there’s a ton of us. I try to be prepared, like bringing enough snacks for the bigs and a change of clothes for the little, but I definitely forgot snacks last night! Well that ended up costing a million dollars to feed everyone, but it was worth it.
We went to a BMX event, which I LOVE and watch on t.v. whenever it’s on. It happened to be the first time the event had been in the U.S. in about 15 years. Now, I’m kind of a tightwad when it comes to spending money, I’m a saver for sure, but life it short and we want our children to experience new things. Luckily for us, admission and parking were free. The event is hosting over 40 different countries and there were tons of food trucks with different varieties of foods that costed us some serious dough and of course everyone wanted something different! The kids had a great time trying different foods and meeting some of the riders and getting autographs.
Overall, everyone had an awesome time and now all my boys want dad to build ramps so they can practice riding like the professional bmx riders! We’ll see how that goes!
Always be on the lookout for free or minimally priced events in your area. Check your local paper, local news outlets, social media, you never know what you’ll stumble upon for you and your family to try!
